Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
Product lifecycle management (PLM) is the process of managing the entire lifecycle of a product from its conception, through design and manufacture, to service and disposal.
It is widely accepted that large formal PLM systems are often essentially general purpose solutions and not an ideal solution for the specific requirements of the complex electronics realisation process.
We have learned how to optimize the PLM processes for the electronics industry.
But more important we also learned that things can be made too complex. Therefore we made CXInsight-PLM different.
The world of Electronics Design and Manufacturing is increasingly a global activity with extended and complex supply chains.
The ability to manage data within a company is only part of the problem. Integrating the supply chain to form a product team, providing collaboration on BOMs, ECOs and design data is the ever increasing problem.
For example, the ability to share your BOMs with your CEM dynamically, to allow long lead parts to be sourced for ‘Start of Production’ is vital to avoid delays. With the ever increasing lead times from Component Suppliers the opportunity to share information earlier in the design phase is essential to avoid production delays and escalating costs.
